The information below reflects the Gallery as it existed at the Exchange; some things have changed with the move to the Antler.
The Stairwell Gallery at the Moose Exchange is a curated exhibition space available to regional artists and exhibitors. Gallery exhibitions are selected and scheduled by the gallery committee and are generally on display for four to six weeks. Opening receptions are arranged in conjunction with other events at the Moose Exchange, typically on Friday evenings.
The Stairwell Gallery is a project of the non-profit Moose Exchange, run by a committee of artist volunteers whose interests are to provide a venue through themed open call exhibitions and juried or invitational shows that offer exposure to regional artists. Exhibiting artists will be asked to sign an exhibition agreement form that releases the Moose Exchange from liability for any theft, damage, or loss.
Artists and arts organizations interested in showing in the Stairwell Gallery space should submit an e-mail request that includes information about the exhibition and artists along with a selection of representative artwork as attachments or links to Web sites. The cost to individuals or groups to exhibit in the Stairwell Gallery is $250. The Stairwell Gallery will assist in the installation and publicity of the exhibition while the artists must cover any shipping or special material costs. Artists and groups will also be asked to help plan and attend a reception of their work.
